Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Exact Group LLC (the production company behind The Zim, referred to as "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit this website (thezimseries.com and any associated subdomains, the "Site").

The Site is a promotional showcase. We do not run user accounts, sign-ups, or commerce here. Our goal is to collect as little data as possible while still operating the Site reliably and securely.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

The Site does not currently include forms or fields where you enter personal information. If you contact our team via email, we receive the information you choose to send us.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting and content delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs technical data necessary to deliver the Site, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems. This typically includes:

• IP address (truncated or hashed where feasible)
• User-agent string (browser and operating system)
• Requested URLs, timestamps, and HTTP status codes
• Approximate geographic region inferred from IP
• Referring URL, where applicable

2. How we use information

• To deliver and secure the Site (DDoS protection, bot mitigation, TLS).
• To debug, monitor performance, and improve reliability.
• To respond to inquiries you send us by email.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies to keep the Site secure and operational. We also offer optional analytics (Microsoft Clarity) that only runs after you explicitly accept it on the consent banner shown on your first visit. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and to change your choice at any time.

4. Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics, we load Microsoft Clarity, a usage-analytics product operated by Microsoft Corporation. Clarity helps us understand how people interact with the Site — which sections they read, where they click, and where they get stuck — so we can improve it.

Clarity may collect:

• Mouse movements, scroll depth, clicks, and viewport dimensions
• Anonymized session replays of your interactions (form-field contents are masked by default)
• IP address (used to derive coarse geography, then discarded by Microsoft per their policy)
• Page URLs and basic device / browser information

Clarity does not run if you decline. You can revoke your consent any time on the Cookie Policy page. Microsoft's own privacy statement is at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

5. Third parties

The Site loads a small number of resources from third parties to function:

• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, security, edge cache. Cloudflare may process server-log information on our behalf.
• Google Fonts — webfonts are loaded from Google's servers when you load a page. Your IP and user-agent may be logged by Google to deliver the font files.
• Microsoft Clarity — only loaded after you accept analytics on the consent banner. See section 4.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our rights, or to protect against fraud or abuse.

7. Retention

Server logs are retained for the periods set by our hosting provider, typically a small number of days, and then discarded or anonymized. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed. Microsoft Clarity retains analytics data per Microsoft's published policy.

8. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS and relies on Cloudflare's industry-standard security controls. No system can be made perfectly secure; if you become aware of a vulnerability, please contact us.

9. Children

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information. Because the Site does not collect personal accounts, most of these rights primarily apply to email correspondence you initiate with us and to any analytics data collected with your consent. To exercise rights, contact us below; to withdraw analytics consent at any time, use the controls on the Cookie Policy page.

Your Privacy Choices (California & similar)

If you live in California or another US state with a comparable privacy law, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (including for cross-context behavioral analytics). We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. The optional analytics service described in section 4 may be considered "sharing" under CPRA when active. To exercise your choice:

• Click Decline on the consent banner shown on your first visit, or use the toggle on the Cookie Policy page at any time. This is also reachable from the Your Privacy Choices link in the site footer.
• Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser (Brave, Firefox with GPC, DuckDuckGo, etc.). When we detect GPC, optional analytics is treated as declined automatically — no banner shown, no analytics loaded.

11. International transfers

Our hosting and edge infrastructure operates globally; technical request data may be processed in the United States and other countries. If you accept analytics, Microsoft Clarity may process data in the United States and other regions where Microsoft operates.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
